Wolf cooking equipment · Silver Lake to Sherman Oaks

A range that will not light takes the whole evening with it.

Independent Wolf service across the east side and the Valley — ranges and rangetops, gas and induction cooktops, wall and steam ovens, griddles, hoods and roof blowers. Measured before anything is replaced. Priced before anything is fitted.

  • Service call $89, credited against the repair
  • Visits 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days

  • Equipment Wolf cooking only — no refrigeration
Pro-style stainless range with the oven door open, one burner cap removed from the griddle-side burner and an oven rack leaning against the door
Cap off the griddle-side burner, oven door open. Two complaints in one call is normal on a range this size — the cooktop fault is what gets noticed and the oven drift is what gets mentioned on the way out.

Service areas

Four neighbourhoods, one hill between them

The route is deliberately tight. Silver Lake and Los Feliz on the east side, Studio City and Sherman Oaks over the top — close enough that a part left on the van in the morning is still useful in the afternoon.

Half of these calls are solved by the description on the phone deciding which parts come along. Model number, the symptom, and when it started.

Straight answers

Things worth knowing before you call

Nothing here is a sales answer. If the honest answer is that a repair is not worth it, that is the one you will get on the phone too.

Not on the list? (310) 626-4008

Do you work on anything other than Wolf?

This site is Wolf cooking equipment: ranges, rangetops, cooktops, wall and steam ovens, griddles and ventilation. Refrigeration is a different trade with different parts and a different diagnostic path, and it is not what this line covers.

What does the visit cost before any repair?

A flat $89 service call covers coming out and diagnosing the fault properly, and it is credited against the repair if you go ahead with it. The repair itself is quoted after the diagnosis, and nothing is ordered or fitted until you have agreed the number.

When can someone actually get here?

Visits run 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, seven days. The phone is answered around the clock, so an evening call still gets a slot booked rather than a voicemail. Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Studio City and Sherman Oaks are all on the regular route.

What should I have ready when I call?

The model number, which is on the frame behind the oven door or under the cooktop lip, and a plain description of what the appliance does — how long the burner clicks before it catches, how far off the oven temperature runs, what the display says. Those three things decide which parts go on the van.

My kitchen is from the 1920s and the range was dropped into it. Is that a problem?

It is common on the east side and it is often the whole story. A 48-inch range on a gas drop sized for a 1920s stove will simmer badly and lose a burner when the oven lights. That gets measured at the manifold before anything is replaced.

Do you take the roof blower on a hillside house?

Yes — remote and roof-mounted blowers are part of hood work, along with the capacitor, the speed control, the damper and the duct run above the cabinets. A hood that sounds strong and still lets grease settle is usually an airflow problem, not a motor problem.

If you can smell gas, do this first

Leave the house, then call the gas utility or 911 from outside. Do not switch anything on or off on the way. That is not an appliance call and it is not ours to take second.

Everything short of that — a burner that will not shut off cleanly, a hood tripping its breaker, an oven that locked itself mid-cycle — the line is answered 24/7, including tonight.

  • Left zone shut down every time my heavy pot went on. The fan under the glass was choked with grease and dust off the hillside. Cleaned and tested, no board needed.

    Neal F.Silver Lake

  • Simmer setting roared or blew itself out, nothing between. He read the manifold pressure, found it high for the block, and set the bypass screws. Took two trips because the first part was wrong.

    Delroy P.Sunset Junction

  • Cooktop kept beeping and quitting mid-simmer, which nobody could explain. The pan sensor coil had a rubbed-through lead where it crossed the frame. He repaired it and tested every zone before leaving.

What this covers

Four things, all of them cooking equipment

Wolf builds ranges and ventilation, not refrigerators. That is the whole list, and keeping it short is why the right part is usually already on the van.

  1. 01

    Wolf Range Repair

Wolf dual-fuel and all-gas ranges: ignition faults, burners that will not hold a setting, dead oven cavities and control lockouts.

    • A burner clicks for a minute before it catches, or never catches at all
    • Burners light normally while the oven stays stone cold
Symptoms and what they usually are
Stainless pro-style gas range with a burner cap removed to the counter, the burner head and igniter exposed, oven racks pulled out
  2. 02

    Wolf Oven Repair

Built-in Wolf wall ovens and steam ovens — heat that has drifted out of calibration, convection failures, tired door seals and locked boards.

    • Preheat crawls and the cavity never actually reaches the set temperature
    • Bakes unevenly, forty degrees apart between the front and the back
Symptoms and what they usually are
Open oven cavity on a slide-in gas range with the bake element loop visible across the floor of the cavity, rack removed
  3. 03

    Wolf Cooktop Repair

Wolf gas, induction and electric cooktops and rangetops — spark electrodes, sealed burners, inverters, relays and touch controls.

    • Induction zone beeps and drops out under a heavy pan
    • Flame burns yellow and leaves soot on the bottom of pans
Symptoms and what they usually are
Close view of a single sealed gas burner with the cap removed, the spark electrode and gas orifice exposed inside the burner well
  4. 04

    Wolf Range Hood Repair

Wolf hoods, inserts and remote roof blowers — motors, capacitors, speed controls, baffles, lighting and the duct run behind them.

    • Blower sounds strong but grease still settles on the cabinets
    • Hood trips the breaker as soon as it steps up a speed
Symptoms and what they usually are
Wire brush, pliers, four screwdrivers and a mounting bracket with its screws and clips laid out on a towel
Oven door hinge, a second hinge bracket, a tension spring, bolts and washers laid out on a towel beside pliers and two screwdrivers

A door hinge, its spring and the hardware that holds it. An oven that stops holding heat past 300 is more often this than a board.

How this works

One brand, one trade, four appliances

Wolf equipment is not general appliance work with a different badge on it. Manifold pressure set for the block, a griddle plate that has to come off square, spark modules that read fine on a meter and still will not carry a flame, steam ovens that scale up on Los Angeles water. Working on the same four things every day is the only reason any of that is quick.

There is no showroom and no forms on this site. You call, or you pick a slot on the booking page. What happens after that is short enough to list.

  1. 01 You describe the fault Model number, what it does and when it started. That is normally enough to decide which parts ride along, which is the difference between one visit and two.
  2. 02 It gets measured, not guessed Manifold pressure, sensor resistance, a probe on the rack, the actual voltage at the relay. Gas cooking equipment fails in ways that read the same from the outside and are not the same fault.
  3. 03 You hear the number first The diagnosis comes with a price for the repair before anything is opened up further or ordered. If it is not worth fixing, that gets said plainly.
  4. 04 It is tested before anyone leaves A burner that lights once is not a repair. Full preheat, every zone, the door lock cycled — whatever the original complaint was, run again in front of you.
